Sharing The Love!

Sharing the Love!

When I started this business last year in 2018, I knew I wanted to use it to give back to the community. I wanted it to make the world a little better and be a blessing to others. So I decided to give 10% of every dollar right off the top to charity. Before I pay myself, before I invest back in the business, before paying expenses. I’ve had people tell me it’s crazy, but we believe in outrageous, generous giving around here.

I also wanted to be intentional about the charities we help and choose some that represent our clients. As an honor to them, Kaimey and I spend a lot of time discussing what our clients care about. What is of value to them and their families? What matters in their world? The thing I love most about this job is getting to know people’s stories and their hearts. Supporting causes that matter to them is such a joy.

Now that 2019 is drawing to a close (our first full year in business!), it’s time to make our donations! We are so excited to give away four times more than last year! All thanks to our amazing clients!

Here are the charities we’re supporting this year:

A few of our clients have been impacted by cancer this year, either in themselves or a close family member. We are passionate about medical research and finding cures that allow us more time with loved ones. We are proud to support MD Anderson as they lovingly treat cancer patients and work hard toward cures!

Many of our clients have kids in youth sports programs. Like us, they value all that is learned on a field or court: teamwork, winning, losing, working hard, respect, discipline, exercise…Kids in the Game is an organization that allows kids in underprivileged communities the opportunities to participate in recreational sports programs. We support their program THE PASS that pays sports registration fees for students of all abilities who are on free and reduced lunches.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving is one of the charities we supported last year, and we’re happy to bring it back in 2019. We’ve seen clients experience the loss of a loved one due to drunk driving, and we honor them and the work of MADD to keep that tragedy from others.

Our family has personally supported World Vision for a long time. They are invested in areas of the world stricken by poverty. As a Christian organization, they bring the gospel of Jesus to people around the world as well as equipping them to overcome poverty through education and resources.Education is power for a brighter future. Many of our clients are present or past educators and/or have school-age kids. They are passionate about quality education, strong teachers, and thriving schools. Teach for America supports teachers who join their program and agree to teach in lower socio-economic schools for two years. They serve kids and families most impacted by education inequity.

We encourage you all to take a look at the good work these charities are accomplishing. It is our privilege to support them in 2019! And thanks to all of our amazing clients who make it possible!
